  • Bio

Sal Vitro (formerly known as Roadrunner) are a no-nonsense rock outfit from Dublin "who capture the essence of rhythm and blues with a funk edge". As Roadrunner their first single 'Sparks' was chosen to be part of the compilation album 'Ourspace', released by the Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education. The album reached #5 in the Irish Album Charts with Jackie Hayden of Hotpress Magazine noting their contribution as "a stand out track". Roadrunner later released their first EP, 'Try Keep Up'. Jackie Hayden again praised the group and gave the EP a very positive review in the November edition of Hotpress. The band was selected from hundreds of applicants to compete in the final heats of the prestigious JD Set, run by Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers, in 2009. With the addition of John Cuddy on drums in 2010 Roadrunner became Sal Vitro and enjoyed instant success. In their very first gig, Sal Vitro impressed judges and fans alike and won the Live and Unsigned Battle of the Bands. The band are now set to appear both on a new music television show to be aired across 4 channels as well as on many radio shows in 2011. Sal Vitro are currently working on their debut album which is set for release in the summer of 2011.
